Terry has years of experience teaching youth in natural settings, leading field trips, running summer camps and offering workshops. In addition, she fosters a life-long love of the outdoors and experience leading children and adults on many outdoor adventures – hiking, backpacking, kayaking, biking and horseback riding. With a strong love for science, oceans and farming, Terry has always used these opportunities to share information about and foster stewardship for our resources.
With LOCAL STEW U, Terry has combined this wealth of experience and leadership, to develop active and engaging learning programs in the form of this farm-based, high school. She has several goals with this program: to help youth learn in a more natural way that encourages life-long learners and productive citizens; to encourage growth in the agriculture and skills-based job sectors; and to help change the methodology of education.
