Trimming sheep hooves.

What an amazing day!  Our brief morning meeting was followed by English and another TED talk. Today students watched Amy Cuddy’s talk, “Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are”. They learned about “power poses” and how important it is to “Fake it until you become it” in situations where they feel like they don’t belong.

English was followed by a quick snack and then a field trip to Laughing Place Farm. Students spent most of the afternoon trimming goat and sheep hooves, treating horses for thrush, cleaning out rabbit hutches and helping with other chores around the farm. Students worked together and it was wonderful to see students learn new skills from their classmates with more farm experience.  Their skills and comfort level with all of the animals was truly amazing!
